About the pattern
About the pattern
In collaboration with Min Mote (Norways largest fashion site). The HANGAROUND Bag is a small, lined shoulder- and
handbag. The bag is made up of four parts: Two side
pieces and a front and a back piece, as well as a handle
and ties that serve as the bag's closure in the middle.

Fabric recommendations:
The pattern is made for woven fabrics. Fabrics such as denim, heavy canvas, and taslan (parachute fabric) will work well for this bag.
The bag is stabilized using either fusible interfacing or Viledon. Viledon is a non-woven, synthetic fabric often used for stabilization hence it provides structure and stiffness to fabrics, making it ideal for adding shape and support to items like bags. It’s applied to the fabric by ironing, similar to regular interfacing. The Viledon is applied to the outer fabric for a stiffer and sharper look. Viledon can be replaced with
regular fusible interfacing, which will give the bag a softer and more relaxed look.
Fabrics such as woven viscose and light cotton canvas do not work well with the use of Viledon. We recomend testing your fabric with the Viledon before you cut out all the parts for the bag.
If you have a very stiff fabric or if you want a softer
bag look, you can use fusible interfacing instead of
Viledon.
