Seersucker fabric has a ‘wavy’ structure and is very soft. It is very versatile and can be used for both blouses and dresses. It can also be used for skirts, but we don’t recommend using it for our Clueless and Strap Wrap patterns, as these will require slightly firmer fabric. If you are going to use it for collars or covering, you need to fuse it with interfacing.
The fabric is easy to sew in.
You are always welcome to write to us on our Instagram profile if you are in doubt as to whether you can use the fabric for what you intend.
The number of meters you need for your sewing project depends on your size, the chosen style and the width of the fabric.
In the description on each individual pattern’s product page or under the pattern designer, you will find a description of how much fabric you need in your size based on the standard width of fabric, which is 145 cm.
You will find the width of the fabric in “Product info” below. If the fabric is narrower than 145 cm, you will need more meters than what is indicated on the pattern description.
You are always welcome to write to us at hello@puffandpencil.com or on our Instagram if you have any doubts.

This fabric is deadstock fabric. Deadstock is leftover fabric from clothing production. When making something out of deadstock fabric, new production of fabric is avoided.
