// A4 PDF Sewing pattern for the LUNA jacket without sleeves //
The LUNA jacket is an easy jacket base with a collar and snap buttons, as well as side pockets. It is without lining, so it is made with bias tape. It can be made in two different lengths. The lengths are designed for an average height of 167 cm. You can easily make it shorter or longer.
LUNA can be made with sleeves or without resulting in either a vest or a jacket / coat. Sleeve pattern is purchased separately.
The pattern contains both a detailed, visual manual and a PDF file with a printable pattern, which is printed in A4 and then taped together.
Which size should you choose?
LUNA is oversize fitted. The most important measurement is your bust measurement. If you are in the middle of sizes, take the smallest.
See more about finding the right size here.
Which fabric is recommended?
The pattern is made for woven fabric types. We recommend using quilted fabric, or a thick wool, for example a blanket. In addition, we also recommend that you use a thinner quality for pockets and collars, e.g. a cotton canvas in a color that matches the outer fabric.
How much fabric is needed?
At 140 cm fabric width:
Short version:
XXS / XS / S: approx. 1.5 m M / L: approx. 1.75 m XL / XXL: approx. 2 m
Long version:
XXS / XS / S: approx. 1.75 m M / L: ca. 2 m XL / XXL: approx. 2.75 m
This is without sleeves.
If you use lining fabric for inner collar and pockets, you will also need approx. 20 cm inner fabric in width 140 cm.
Materials needed:
Fabric, sewing thread, bias tape, possibly interfacing if your lining fabric is thin.
